This book is a great introduction to how the world spreads an idea in the 21st century. That said, some people may not like what they read, especially if it flies in the face of everything they thought they knew to be true. And, for such people this book may cause a higher magnitude bookquake than the one that registered with me.

Holiday presents his ideas in a pragmatic fashion. There is no philosophy here. It is a straight talking text, short and to the point. Basically, if you want to succeed in today’s world, as an entrepreneur or marketer, you need to do and involve yourself in X, Y and Z. There is no luck and the realisation of your idea will improve in line with your ability to complete X, Y and Z, in a way that resonates with your specifically targeted audience.

It shouldn’t take you very long to read this book and I recommend it, if you want the conceptual framework you will need to keep your business one step ahead of the competition. Bear in mind, and as I said in the first sentence of this QUAKE report, this book is just the first of many you will need to acquire dear Field Agents, if you take your brand seriously… One of your next books, where Ryan Holiday also features, should be Traction co-written by Gabriel Weinberg, CEO of DuckDuckGo.
